Let’s dive in…

5-Steps to Create Your Copywriting Clone with AI

Step 1: Create your Custom GPT

Open your browser and go to chatgpt.com .

On the homepage, look for the "Explore GPTs" option in the menu.

Click on "+ Create" to begin the process of setting up your custom GPT.

(BTW this requires the paid version...)

Step 2: Tell it what you want to create on the left.

Start With This Prompt:

“I would like to create my own Personal Brand AI Copywriter that mimics my tone of voice, my expertise, my style, and my goals. Call it [YOUR NAME] Copywriter AI”.         

It will also generate a logo for you.

Once you like it, it will ask you a follow up question of how you want it to sound.

Then you have to…

Add Your Personal Brand Details:

(We will create one big prompt to do this...)

1) Type in a description of your tone of voice.

TONE: I write in a casual, friendly, and motivational tone with a hint of humour.        

2) List phrases and words you frequently use.

KEY PHRASES: “Let’s dive in,” “Absolutely,” “You’ve got this”        

3) Provide a brief summary of your writing style.

STYLE: "You are a LinkedIn Copywriter. You output LinkedIn posts based on a scroll stopping one-line hook, an emotional personal anecdote (pulled from uploaded Knowledge), 5-7 dot points (depending on what’s necessary), then one sentence to drive home the points, and then 1 CTA question adding a 'P.S' in front of it. Make sure each sentence is no longer than 50 characters. One paragraph for each sentence. No emojis. At least 21 sentences long.        

4) Specify the types of content you want your GPT to generate.

CONTENT TYPE: LinkedIn posts focused on professional growth,” or “LinkedIn posts about entrepreneurship and AI.        

5) Describe your target audience.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Mid-career professionals looking to transition to solopreneurship.        

6) List the key messages you want to convey.

KEY MESSAGES: The importance of personal branding,” “Steps to achieving financial freedom,” etc.        

It should look like this...

Step 4: Feed It Your Content

Collect your top-performing LinkedIn posts, tweets, blog articles, and any other written or visual material that reflects your voice.

On the Custom GPT creation page, look for an option called "Configure" then "Knowledge".

Provide as many samples of your writing and content as possible. Images, PDFs, ebooks, DOCX, etc. Whatever format you have it can read it.

(I obviously have way more content, but adding these few here as an example...)

Step 5: Test and Tweak

Now look at the right hand side "Preview" and use your custom GPT to create a few pieces of content.

Start a simple prompt like “Write a LinkedIn post about personal branding.”

Read the generated content carefully.

→ Does it sound like you?

→ Is it valuable and engaging?

→ Is it easy to read and skimmable?

If the content isn’t quite right, go back to the settings and adjust the details.

You might need to refine the tone, add more samples, or tweak the key messages.

The more detail and data you can give it, the better it mimics your style.

Continue testing and tweaking until the generated content consistently matches your voice and delivers the value you want.

Once it does?

You can 10X your output or just save 10X more time.

(P.S. Make sure to save it by clicking "Create"!)

The output from your Custom GPT will always get you to about 80%, so you’ll still need to put in some finishing touches.

And that's okay!

As the AI model improves over time and that 80% will become 90% and eventually 100%.

But for now?

Always think about how to deliver more value that's specific to you and your story and add anecdotes that only you could know to make it as emotionally engaging and relatable as you can.

That's where the true magic still lies~
