5 Current Trends that have prevailed in 2015 Local Search

Local Search is changing continuously and 2015 has also seen its share with regards to this. Hence, the influence of local search with regards to Local Businesses cannot be undervalued. Noted below 5 Current trends that have prevailed in 2015 with regards to the Local Search.

1. Google Snack Pack: Search engine results page (SERP) of Google is now only displaying only 3 results while previously they used to display around 7 results. Since most of the premium portion of the page is now occupied with ads. Hence, it is important for the businesses to take the help of SEO firms in order to rank in the top three results. It is quite clear that the company that pays for SEO firms and have SEO friendly sites are the ones to take the advantage of this system. 

2. Near me or Location-Based Search for Services: Near me or local- based searches for services are now more popular than ever and around 80% of people using mobile devices conducted this searches as per a survey conducted in 2014. Hence, it is very important to have NAP (Name, Address and Phone Numbers). 

3. Mobile Responsive Site: Sites that are mobile friendly did well in the local searches. However, the sites that are not mobile-friendly missed a lot on local searches. 

4. Behavioural Influences: User’s behaviour has a greater impact on a site than it was before. Having a good content and captivating images can help reduce low click rate as well as low click-through rate. This will remove undesirable impact if any. 

5. Google Business: With Google Plus, Google Maps etc. many businesses are confused with so many names and also as Google doesn’t communicate much about the changes. However, business owners should use Google- My business interface in sharing their information.
