5 Crucial Steps Or Less To Close Any Sale

As I sit here in a coffee shop in Oklahoma this Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024, at 11:00 am, I feel compelled by passion to share this with anyone feeling the weight of the current US economy. This season for many is a famine, a dry land. People are desperate to see an increase in their income, and it's more crucial than ever to find effective ways to boost earnings.

In the last 5-7 years, I have made over 40,000 sales calls and closed over 30,000 contracts, representing tens of millions of dollars in revenue. I started by honing my skills with a product as small as a hydration drink and sold over 90 cases a day face-to-face to consumers. I went on to sell medium to large products such as DJ wedding packages, personal wellness plans, cars, modular houses, and duplexes.

I sold from business to business, starting with tangible items like cabling, IP cameras, and business Voice Over IP Phone Systems, to intangible IT, corporate wellness plans and digital marketing services.

In every industry, these 5 crucial steps have proven themselves solid and timeless in their effectiveness. Along the way, I have trained others to use them with the same success. They work because these 5 steps come from the story of Noah.

They work so well that once you learn them, they'll immediately transform the way you handle objections and find a win-win for your prospects, customers, and you. Whenever you're reading this article, it's the best time right now to start learning this to see an increase in your income.

People have told me they didn't fully believe it would work, but in the middle of the sale, when they received the objection, a voice popped into their head, reminding them of exactly what to say. That happens because these 5 steps are seeded in Biblical truth, which is why they work so well.

In fact, I started closing so many contracts (over 200 a month) on behalf of a staff of 12 that I couldn't put together the contracts fast enough.

Step 1: Sincerely listen with discernment to your prospect or customer as they share their objection.

  • When a customer raises an objection, give them your full attention. Listening sincerely helps you understand their concerns and builds trust.

Step 2: Know how to treat their response based on whether it's rational or not, diminishing it mentally.

  • Evaluate the objection. Is it a rational concern or an emotional reaction? This helps you address it effectively.

Step 3: Distinguish it, ensuring it's the only thing to handle or overcome and not a cover-up for a deeper objection.

  • Make sure the objection is genuine and not a mask for something deeper. This clarity allows you to tackle the real issue.

Step 4: Dig, allowing them the chance to overcome their own objection and close themselves.

  • Encourage the customer to talk through their concern. Often, they find the solution themselves, making the sale smoother.

Step 5: Deliver a statement of logic that makes sense in doing the transaction, showing them a win-win and that it's in their favor to move forward with you.

  • Present a logical, beneficial outcome. Show them why moving forward is a win-win situation.

Use this training with caution. It's not to manipulate or trick people, or to hustle and grind them down to do business with you. Worldly wealth always comes with sorrow. This training is to help you provide a frictionless, smooth service; not to use psychology to your advantage.

These steps come out of the Bible, and Godly wealth comes with no sorrow.

These steps will help you find your flow. They will help you truly qualify people. You'll be able to quickly recognize prospects and customers who live in fear and tell lies.

This will help you decide if they are a good fit to work with you or not. I recommend at first to not deviate from the training, using it word for word. Once you grow in your confidence, you'll be able to think of new ways to close deals that best fit your personality and style.
