1. How do you define community?
A group of people with shared interests, goals, or values. Communities can be formal or informal and come in many shapes and sizes.
2. What is your favorite online or offline community? Why?
Currently it is several subgroups within the Web3/Ethereum community on Twitter. I like these groups because they are filled with talented and kind people who are trying to build a better version of the internet that works better for more people.?

3. How has community helped to build your personal brand?
Definitely! It wasn’t very intentional, but identifying with and participating heavily in communities is how I got my reputation. I went from 3,000 to almost 30,000 followers in the span of months by getting deeply involved and doing meaningful work.?
4. What advice would you give to those starting to build their own community from zero?
Definitely start small, give yourself lots of room to change, and let community members have ownership. The number one mistake I see people making when trying to build a community is they over-plan and try try to inject way too much structure and rules initially. I’ve seen it work best when the structure, rules, and space grow alongside the community.?
5. What advice would you give to executives or Head of Marketing people who are managing community teams?
Resist the urge to make it a marketing channel. It will naturally support your brand and efforts if you give it space. People can spot a brand with self-serving interests a mile away and you’ll likely make a community no one wants to be in if it comes across as “markety”. In my opinion, community managers and builders need to be distinctly different from marketers.
