  4. Resistance Start: The resistance start method involves adding external resistance in the motor circuit to reduce the startup current and torque surge. As the motor accelerates, the resistance value is gradually decreased until the resistance is completely removed to achieve rated operation.
  5. Soft Start: Soft start is an advanced startup method that gradually increases the motor's voltage and frequency using electronic controllers to achieve a smooth motor startup, minimizing current surges. This method offers better protection for both the motor and mechanical systems and is suitable for large motors and applications that require a smoother startup.
