GANPATI BAPPA MORYA ??
It's that time of the year when we all get ready to welcome and celebrate the god of wisdom and new beginnings- Lord Ganesha. A god who is worshipped before starting any task or ritual has loads of lessons to teach to entrepreneurs and businessmen.
This Ganesh Chaturthi, let's dive into some of the remarkable teachings from Lord Ganesha that can bring a huge difference in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
1) THE POWER OF LISTENING
Ever wondered what Ganesha's ears signify?
Most of us skip on the part of listening more often than not. But to be successful, it is very important to listen and absorb ideas and facts. A person who is aware of his surroundings is the one who never loses on opportunities.
This is what Lord Ganesh teaches us. Be attentive. Be aware. And always listen to what people are saying about you and your brand so that you always make the right decision at the right time.
2) BE A LATERAL THINKER AND STAND OUTSIDE THE BOX
Remember Karthikeya and Ganesha's small competition?
Once Lord Karthik invited Lord Ganesha for a race. The race was about who can complete three circulations of the whole world first. While Karthik followed the old conventional method of racing around the whole world, Lord Ganesha applied lateral thinking and circulated around his parents saying they were his whole world.
Result? Lord Ganesha won and was appreciated for his presence of mind and out of the box thinking. Lord Karthik did hard work, but he forgot to do the smart work.
3) BE A MASTER IN JUDGING PEOPLE
There is a very famous legend related to Ganesha's encounter with Lord Kuber. Kuber, when heard of Lord Ganesha's love for food, invited him for a feast at his palace with and intention to showoff his huge wealth. However, he failed to fulfill Ganesha's hunger, as he kept asking for more food. At last, a small bowl of rice from a poor farmer's house satisfied Lord's hunger, teaching a hard lesson to Kuber.
Similarly, an entrepreneur should be able to judge who is actually offering a deal and who is just doing it to benefit himself.
4) READ, READ AND KEEP ON READING
Lord Ganesha was famous among all the lords for his wisdom and knowledge. It was believed that he had impeccable knowledge of all the epics, Vedas and Puranas. There are many instances of his life where he taught a hard lesson to even the best of the intellectuals.
A person with knowledge will never get fooled by anyone. And the only way to increase your knowledge is by reading. Read a book, newspaper, magazines, articles, case studies, or any source and you will feel enlightened more than ever.
5) A PROACTIVE APPROACH WILL GET YOU PLACES
Lord Ganesha loads of victories in his pocket. Wonder what makes him the winner of all time?
His strategic mind and proactive approach.
A person who thinks about the bigger picture and makes a long-term plan never falls even in the biggest crisis.
