No one every taught us in school HOW to set goals we will achieve with consistency! So, if we must achieve consistently to have consistent success, we must learn what we may be doing incorrectly that slows or even halts progress.
After a dozen years focused narrowly on setting and achieving goals with consistency and predictability over time, these are the five biggest goofs one can make when setting goals, that will have you stop or GIVE UP before reaching what you want!
1. Pick a Want, not something you Need! Needs need to be done, however, to achieve goals with consistency, pick goals that you want very much!
2. Keep your Lips Zipped! As most people will work to convince you it’s not a good goal, or you can’t do it, etc., don’t tell anyone except your accountability partner or mastermind. Shhhhh.
3. Choose One Goal at a Time! We can do lots of things, yet when we set One goal, we keep it top of mind and stay focused until we reach it.
4. You Don’t Already Know How! If you already know How to achieve the goal, it’s not a good goal (you could have already done it).
5. Write it Down in Detail! Writing causes thinking which brings up images that have associated feelings. It makes you feel good.
While there are more mistakes and things to learn, starting here will have you enjoy the ability to soon predict when your Goals will arrive!
