Good overview, Ignacio Aredez. There's one thing I would like to add: a well-designed and properly configured service management system is simply convenient, and I love convenience. An example from my reality: I feel much more comfortable relying on real-time data in my reporting instead of the next Excel exercise. For me, a good solution is one that works and gets the job done without me having to constantly mess with it.
