4X Traffic Growth: My Journey

It all started with a challenge that seemed almost impossible.

I was handed a task:

Take a page about business valuation services, which had only 800 visitors in the past three months,

And somehow boost it to 3000 visitors in the next three months.

No paid marketing.

Just organic growth.

At first, I was stuck.

The keywords I researched had barely any search volume — 70 to 90 searches a month.

Even if I ranked #1, it didn’t feel like enough to make a real impact.

Before joining IndiaBizForSale.com , I had very little experience in digital marketing.

I spent a year doing off-page SEO at X-Byte Enterprise Solutions , learning as I went.

Then, I spent six months at Plethora IT Solutions, gaining some experience, but still not feeling like an expert.

When I joined to IndiaBizForSale, I was given full responsibility for marketing.

No team to lean on. Just me.

And then, this challenge landed on my desk.

I knew I had to figure this out.

So, I went to my co-founder for guidance.

He’s a marketing genius with over 22 years of experience in sales and marketing across India and the UK.

I asked him, “How do I achieve this? How can we get 4X visitors to the business valuation services page?”

His response wasn’t a simple solution.

He said, “Sunil, don’t just follow the usual process.

Look at the bigger picture. Think beyond the task.

That advice made me pause.

I wasn’t just being asked to increase traffic. I was being pushed to stretch beyond the obvious solutions.

So, I got to work.

I started brainstorming and spent around half day.

I realized something: We already had around 2000 visitors coming to other pages on our platform.

What if I could tap into that existing traffic and funnel some of it to the business valuation services page?

I went back to my co-founder with my idea.

I said, “I understand the goal behind this — it’s to help business owners make their transaction process smoother with a fair valuation report. So, what if we place the business valuation services page on the high-traffic pages where visitors are landing most often? This way, it won’t just drive more traffic, but it will also offer them a relevant solution right when they need it.”

He smiled and said, “Yes, we can do that. But think more broadly. What other places can we add this?”

We spent the next 90 minutes brainstorming together, figuring out exactly where to place to showcase page across our platform.

I had only thought of one or two spots.

But my co-founder helped me uncover 10 more opportunities.

We finalized the plan.

I combined organic SEO with social media marketing, and added the strategically placed CTAs across the site.

I didn’t stop there.

I also made sure the page itself was optimized for search engines, covering all the right keywords and did off page work along with social media marketing.

The results were incredible.

Within 2.5 months, the business valuation services page ranked #1 for all the 4 related keywords.

Traffic soared from 800 to 1100 views — all from organic search.

The rest of the traffic came from clicks on our internal pages.

That’s when I realized something powerful.

It wasn’t just about hitting the numbers.

It was about pushing beyond the obvious.

My co-founder didn’t just give me a quick fix.

He challenged me to find the solution myself.

To think bigger. To use every resource available.

It wasn’t just about doing the work — it was about stretching your limits and using creativity to solve problems.

So, if you ever find yourself facing a challenge that seems impossible, remember this:

Think beyond the task.

Use everything around you.

Push yourself further than you thought possible.

And don’t be afraid to ask questions and seek guidance when you need it.
