Welcome to our new 4C Final Buyers
We are excited to see the 4C network growing as we welcome two new Final Buyers to the 4C Certification System.
Melitta North America is a key division of the family-owned Melitta Group from Germany, dedicated to sustainability in all its operations. Melitta North America produces coffee filters, capsules and roasted coffee mainly for the USA and Canada. Products are also sold in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Emphasizing sustainable sourcing and corporate social responsibility, Melitta collaborates with global standards and certifications to promote environmental sustainability and social equity. In line with their commitment to expanding sustainable sourcing, we are happy to welcome Melitta North America as a new Final Buyer of 4C certified coffee.

UCC offer exceptional coffees, world-class equipment, tailored insight, data-driven training, category management and market-leading maintenance which they deliver by working in partnership with their customers to create exceptional coffee experiences. UCC is focused on sustainable sourcing and procuring high-quality, certified green coffee beans through their Group Buying Office in Geneva. We are delighted to announce that UCC has now joined 4C to further support their sustainable sourcing commitment to ensuring environmentally friendly and ethical practices across their supply chain.
4C joins Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform
We are proud to announce that 4C has joined the Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform (SSCP), a significant step forward in our mission to promote sustainability in the coffee industry.
The SSCP, launched on June 6, 2024, is a collaborative initiative that brings together the Swiss coffee industry, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), civil society, and academia. The platform aims to create a coffee industry that respects human rights, protects the environment, and ensures sustainable sourcing practices, ultimately improving the livelihoods of coffee producers and their families. ? Membership in the SSCP offers 4C access to a wealth of shared resources, know-how, and best practices. This collective knowledge enhances our ability to address systemic sustainability issues such as climate change and living income for coffee farmers. ? We are excited about the opportunities this membership presents and look forward to working closely with other SSCP members.
