Liberty - Kath Duncan the untold struggle for civil rights

47 International #filmfestival awards across 5 continents makes my film #lgbtq #civilrights #history the most successful of 2023

It's hard to imagine in 2023 when all things LGBTQ globally came under attack with the rise of the far right that my film about a bunch of Lewisham residents led by a lesbian Scot Kath Duncan without any PR, Big Studio backing, or any alist stars would win more awards than any other LGBTQ driven film ever made ( no LGBTQ driven film has ever won so many awards across so many continents including some films that went on to win Oscars,

( Liberty was too short to be recognized as a feature entry and too long for a short entry ) ,

securing 47 International Film Festival awards ( and still up for 34 more in 2024 ) across 5 continents winning in places where being LGBTQ is still a crime, picking up awards in Iran, Russia, and Uganda, winning Best Script, Best International Documentary, and Best LGBT Film as well as from Cairo Egypt winning Best Humanitarian film of 2024, The Golden Ribbon in Prague and listed as one of the most important political films of 2023 in USA, that my latest documentary film which won almost 50 International film awards this #filmfestival season is about the history of UK #lgbtq. #Civilrights #WorkingClass #civilrights #history that is so relevant globally today and yet why in the UK do we teach Indian, South African, and USA civil rights history, and yet this UK history has never been taught? whilst Liberty has been pulled from screening in Russia after Russian Courts ruled that the LGBTQ Movement was boosting terrorism and anyone promoting or screening #Subvessive work faces a very long jail term.

This is all the more odd as I am one of the few none Russians to have been awarded a medal by the Russian Government for my services to the country's history and heritage and the film features Scot Kath Duncan a lifelong #communist

Watch Forbidden Love, https://youtu.be/YO73nkU3wEk?si=mP6YThLwCrJtl5ACthe gay tragic true love story from my play Liberty and my film that went viral in Russia and is now seen under new anti-LGBTQ laws as subversive What do you think? has the world gone crazy?

Should this multi-global award-winning film about ordinary people becoming extraordinary to be banned?

In 2024 I will launch Black History Month 2024 my biggest film to date the true untold story of Afeni Shakur and the trial of the Black Panther 21 that should be known and yet the legacy and role of the woman who shaped the Black Panther Movement and its legacy today has shamefully been left in the shadows far to long

Distribution, Guest Speaker, and Donations to fund my film projects. Media Requests. email [email protected]

I will be starting two new projects in 2024 The story of the #Aids pandemic in the 1980s. and a film to address the ignorance and bigotry around #refugeess and #migrants as I use the power of film to address this, especially the issues faced by the LGBTQ community
