433 Awards to crown the best footballer in the world.

The 433 Awards give football fans a voice in naming the best and talented players in the world for 2021.

433, the largest football community on social media, will hold the 433 Awards for the 2nd time this year. The voting will start at the beginning of December via the 433 Instagram channel. After last year's great success, with 50M+ votes cast, this year they will be back to let the voice of the fans be heard in the discussion for the best footballer and talent in the world. With last year's winners Lewandowski and Haaland taking first place for respectively best player and talent of the year, this season 433 again looks to the people to crown two new winners.

With the awards, 433 aims to become a renowned award within the football world and grow the number of voters yearly.

“We saw a chance last year with the FIFA Best and Ballon d’Or awards being canceled to start our own awards. Since we are the largest football community on social media it made sense to ask our followers who they would crown.”?

Player appreciation

The fan’s voice matters to the players. The awards normally would be awarded in person, but due to the pandemic, 433 spoke to Lewandowski and Haaland online via a video connection. Both players are left at a loss for words after seeing the special video 433 made for them. The fact that fans, the people they play for, have crowned them victorious, makes them feel appreciated.

Last year’s winner, Bayern Munich star striker, Robert Lewandowski on being selected by the fans:

“I really appreciate it. Firstly, I want to say thank you to everyone who voted for me and followed me this season, because the fans mean a lot to me. I know that their support is very important to me and the players and I’m very appreciative of this award.”

Dortmund wonderboy Haaland, who won Talent of the year, is also glad he was chosen by the fans. When asked how it feels to win, the young star responds:

“Yeah, of course, it’s really nice. 433 is a huge thing and I was really happy when I saw that I won. There are, of course, lots of talents around in the world right now, so for people to like me is a good thing. So this is nice, yeah.”?

The prizes

The player of the year is rewarded with an exclusive ring that is handcrafted by GASSAN, a family owned company from the Netherlands that has served the diamond industry for over 75 years.? The prize will be personalized with the winner’s name engraved inside the ring. For the talent of the year, 433 has created another handcrafted item, a marble ball with a golden leaf carrying the winner’s engraved name.?De Zeeuw Continues;

How it works

Using their reach across multiple social media channels, 433 collects votes from all over the world. The voting starts at the beginning of December 2021 and goes through multiple phases, starting with the first selection of 16 talents and 16 players for the final voting round. Head-to-head voting is a known and proven concept on 433, and will determine who will reach the finals. The polls on Instagram stories will be the preferred channel to do so. The final voting will be on the website 433awards.com. The winners will be announced in January 2022.
