In what is already the 8th edition in the AI-Assistants series, this episode gives you an overview of 43 platforms that offer functionality to either build, or configure AI-Assistants (Autonomous Agents). The global autonomous AI and autonomous agents market size was estimated at USD 5.82 billion in 2023.

Autonomous agents mean business. They move from being passive assistants like ChatGPT to agents that have the ability not just to respond to queries or tasks, but to actively learn, adapt, and make decisions independently. They take the initiative to solve problems and make recommendations based on learned patterns and experiences.
The impact of autonomous agents is expected to be profound, extending far beyond the current buzz surrounding ChatGPT-style solutions. Imagine a virtual assistant that not only answers your questions but also proactively suggests solutions to problems before they even arise.
The global autonomous AI and autonomous agents market size was estimated at USD 5.82 billion in 2023. And OpenAI hasn't even begun launching their offering in GPT-5.

While the market of Autonomous Agent platforms is still rather immature and the agents still lack the controllability and predictability needed for widespread use, but technology firms are making constant improvements. OpenAI’s recently announced custom bots are a clear step in this direction; they are able to use external APIs to find specific information or to carry out simple actions like assisting with an e-commerce purchase. Companies should start preparing for wide-scale adoption of autonomous agents today by adjusting their generative AI strategic planning—including their technology architecture, workforce planning, operating model, and policies—to ensure their transformation roadmap is robust and ready.
But that doesn't mean there are currently no players in the market. In my research conducted during the weekend, I was able to find 43 platforms that either offer ready made agents, agent development frameworks, or agents that only require some configuration.
