Hey Everyone. Here we are at 4/20 again. For some people, a different reason for celebration. Today is a new milestone for me. Today makes 25 years working at Bonal Technologies selling vibrators. Not much of a celebration by our company other than a few reluctant muttered words. I was waiting for Elvis or Celine Dion to say, “thank you very little”. Doing this might seem trivial to some people & I understand that others have done much more than me. Accomplishing this has been important to me. I appreciate all the good words of encouragement on Facebook, Linkedin & other methods of communication. This has been quite an adventure. This is not where I expected to be in life but here I am. I have sold roughly 13 million dollars in vibrators while working here & sold into 40 Countries around the World. I have sold equipment within a couple of hours of contact & I have had some companies take 24 years to finally purchase equipment they intended to purchase right away. Last month I set a new company record & came close to a quarter million dollars in sales for 1 month. I have over 10,000 contacts on Linkedin. Having that many contacts on Linkedin might seem insignificant but can you imagine if I have something to sell & I can offer it instantly to that many people within 5 minutes all over the World? I have learned a lot & I still continue to learn. I have learned to do very well assisting customers through Teams Meetings & it is as if I am On Site talking with them in person. Through listening to people I talk with all over the World I have learned how to say a few words in about 70 languages. I am not fluent in all of these languages but I can bet I will get a conversation started. I switch to different languages as easy as breathing. Anyone that has seen me in action at a Trade Show can verify that. I do my best to show respect to anyone I do business with & that is the only way to do business. In sales you have to treat everyone the same equal way. I get a lot of respect because I give respect. Anyone that has done business with me knows that they can count on me & I get many compliments about how well I take care of my customers. I have been told that to be in sales you need the gift of gab. Who ever said that should never consider sales as way to make a living. The gift of listening is a much more important skill because in sales you need to listen so you know what the customer needs & wants. I get many job offers on Linkedin because companies recognize my abilities & I would be a valuable asset to any company selling any product. I get very passionate about what I do. I have had many interesting offers. Anything is possible & a surprise can be around every corner. Sometimes sales can be a lonely adventure & you have to be very self-motivated & the only one you can count on is yourself. Especially when you are calling companies at 3:00 AM in a different language or they call you at 2:00 AM and you have to recognize the Country code and what language to answer in. I don’t really fit the standard salesperson. I am like a round peg that will not fit in a square hole. Like the band Rush says in one of their songs, “ Nowhere is the dreamer and the misfit so alone” . Who knows where life’s adventure will take me next? For now, I have to keep the World “shakin all over!” I like it, I like it, I like it!?
