40% of UNLOCK MENABlockchain respondents set to implement blockchain solutions

I would like to share with you a small portion of the results of UNLOCK Blockchain www.unlock-bc.com survey that we carried out in mid 2017. The significance of the findings has been a major reason for our efforts to carry out UNLOCK Blockchain forum in Dubai sponsored by Smart Dubai and in cooperation with UAE Bank federation. The forum will be on January 14th-15th 2018 at Ritz Carlton DIFC.
In the survey, we asked five basic questions, the first was whether or not respondents were aware of the terminology Blockchain, secondly, how strongly did they understand this new technology, thirdly would they be implementing it, and how significant they felt it was and finally did they believe it would disrupt their business.
An overwhelming, 70.6% stated they were aware of the terminology, and 74% felt it was significant. But what was really interesting was that 67% stated they did not fully understand it, even though 40% of respondents stated they would be implementing it in their organizations. The detailed findings of this survey including cross analytics in terms of countries and industries will be shared on UNLOCK media platform in the coming weeks.
