You waste 40% of every labor dollar because your organization is NOT aligned.

I have some colleagues in The Netherlands who when it comes time to be blunt say, "Well, let's be Dutch about it." Being Dutch is a code word for being frank about things as they are. So "Let's be Dutch." Ask your employees what the company's supply chain strategy is. Not company strategy, not operational strategy, nor the marketing strategy.

"What is your supply chain strategy?" I find close to 75% of the people I talk to don't know it or even if they have one.

Being Dutch again, your employees cannot be successful in making decisions that support the goal of the company if they don't know where "North on the Compass" is.Ask your financial folks to calculate for you how much more revenue you have to generate to get that 40% back and it becomes obvious you need to get a supply chain strategy in place and implement it.
