40-40-20 Rule of Marketing

Marketing can be torturous to your brain cells and we understand so we manage all of that for you, but still if you want to try things out I want to give you the 40-40-20 Rule that changed my life.


So may be you have figured it out already that the rule actually sums up to a 100%.

So let us break it down.


1.Right Audience (40%)

If you want to run the most amazing ads that actually convert make sure you are showing up in the right places at the right time. It might seem obvious, but it is way more than that.

What is right placement and right audience?

A good simple example: If you are advertising for a company that sells iPhone Cases then make sure you are reaching the most relevant audiences ie. People who access facebook using iPhone X or XS.

It could get complex: If you are advertising a service you need to make sure that you cant just reach out to everybody in a kind of organization, you actually have to reach the decision maker. Reach less but reach right - this is my rule.


2.Right Offer (40%)

I you have nailed the point above make sure you know what these guys and girls are really ready to spend their money on. A lot of time you will reach the right people but the offer would be so crappy that there will be no conversions (you can check if your offer sucks, by seeing a high bounce rate at your website). So keep on cleaning up your offer and give as much value as you can.

Imp:When I talk about offer I do not ever say give a discount, discounts are nice obviously but I mean a good offering- a great product or service for a justified price.


3. AD Creative and Presentation (20%)

If you think you are doing everything right and your product or service is amazing too and still you are struggling to get traffic to your website. Then you are messing up bad on something and that is your ad copy/creative. Make sure among thousands of different ads and posts that your future customer will see today, your post is eye catching and descriptive.


In My 5 Years of advertising if the 3 things above are checked in every ad, you will have a bunch of targeted customers flowing into your website everyday.

So go build it.
