4 years - Thank you

Yesterday marked the 4th anniversary of the opening of Harris + Wood Property Agency! Which seems crazy fast but equally it feels like I’ve never done anything else. 

I’m constantly asked what I think it is that is in the “magic” of Harris + Wood and anniversaries are a great time to do that, to step back and really look at what makes our business so special. And the answer has remained consistent over the last 48 months, but none more so than right now, and that’s the people. 

Here’s a wonderful example of what I mean; Our guys asked us to arrive later than the rest yesterday morning and greeted us with a champagne breakfast, had hired a catering company to supply food (which was bloody delicious by the way!) and had had a 4 minute “Thank You” testimonial video made dedicated to myself and Marc to express just how grateful they are to work for the company. Not a single person asked us to put our hands in our pockets and when we sat there watching the video I couldn’t help but think to myself - they’ve got this wrong - it’s really Marc and I that are the lucky ones and maybe we should have made this video thanking them!

We do owe a massive thank to everyone who’s worked for the business over the years because you’ve all played a part on making the company what it is today. But an extra special thank you is deserved to the people who’ve stuck with us through the ups and downs on the rollercoaster of business, those that jumped on the somewhere in the middle of the ride and to everyone that’s most recently joined us. 

In this little magic pocket in time I can honestly say I’ve never been happier than I am right now waking up and going to work. 

You make our business brilliant because you are, and you make our lives/our families lives amazing by what you do/give/share every day. You come to work happy, with the readiness + willingness to do something for other people everyday. And that to me is the ultimate success. 

Thank you for everything and a hugeeee thank you to all those that have allowed us to help them make their moves over the past 4 years.
