4 WEEKS TO A BETTER BUSINESS

Are you struggling to get your business off the ground? Here is the process I walk companies through to help them get back on track.
Week 1 : Focus on a data report.
I use the BMC (Business Model Canvas) by Strategyzer . The BMC helps you establish your business model. It gives you a better understanding of what your initial value proposition is and helps you see how it should work. The great thing if you have already been in business is you have data that you can input rather than hypothesise. To add to this information I ask companies these 3 questions.
- What is your biggest risk?
- What is your purpose?
- What is the problem your value proposition is meant to fix?
(Put this into a document/report, visit it every 2nd week until Product Market Fit)
Week 2 : I like to focus on the thing you say we do.
If it is a restaurant I check the menu, taste the food and experience. If software I look at user experience and if we actually solve the problem we say we solve. If a theatre company I watch the production. This week is about understanding your product from the user/customer/audiences perspective. It is all about the experience.

Week 3 : How do you manage your impact?
Customer relations systems, company policies, the narratives you want to communicate on all levels (Company, Employee, Customer.... all stakeholders). I get all the team members to do a Red Bull wingfinder report to see the teams strengths and help you lean into them. We write out the most ideal narratives and ask what needs to happen for this story to take place.
Week 4 : Reset...
I look at mindset and company culture. I focus on a winning mindset. As an ex athletics coach I understand that it is necessary for you to believe in where you are going and if your mindset is not right then there is no point starting. We set goals and evaluate resources. I always say set the goals first and then ask yourself what will it take and what do you have access to to make it happen.
These 4 weeks are intense but not as intense as the year that follows. I find teams perform better because they understand where they are going and why. It has taken me decades to get this together and I recommend reading #coachingforperformance by John Whitmore or checking out Performance Consultants International . I did it all the long way but you can speed up the process.
