4 ways to use Active Reach-Outs to land a job offer.

1???I would start with a few active reach-outs to people In my industry who are in a higher position than me, I would insist on them being people I truly appreciate and respect, people who have a platform or another kind of clout that I don’t have, some kind of social impact or influence, or someone I know is well connected and has done THEIR work to network well and build up their social capital.
(This doesn’t have to be online, it can be in person, it can be the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce, or the president of your local Toastmasters club as just a couple examples!)
Since I truly appreciate and respect this person I would suggest a few topics we could talk about and how having this conversation would elevate them and their mission and values and make them help them to be seen in a favorable way.
I would offer to interview them on a live stream, or have a chat with them about what they do and propose some questions I could ask them that would truly help support their mission and cause, this can be done online or in person!?
With this I would promote the live stream, or invite a bunch of people to the in-person thing, I would be excited as my presence would be elevated by being associated with this person and theirs would benefit it too. It would be a win-win.
2?? I would do an active reach out to a few people who I know would immensely benefit from my skill set. This might be a “reach-out” to people I do know already, or are friends of friends, second-degree connections or some more familiar faces than usual…?
I’d let them know what I could do in specific terms of ROI, and make it sound really good.?
I’d be specific about specific parts of the ROI That would benefit them and let them know that there is absolutely no pressure to say yes, but I just wanted to let them know!??
3??I would do an active reach out to people I know who are established in their careers, and I would ask them to give me some practice problems to solve.
I’d reach out asking for a conversation first to and then I’d see if I could suss out some of the main problems people in need solved and start putting together plans and decks to solve them.
I’d make sure that I let the person know I was very appreciative of their time and energy and I would offer to owe them a favor and promote them for their generosity, then I would tag them on Linkedin and genuinely highlight their awesomeness.
(99% of people feel under-appreciated) So I know this will go far and has a compound effect over time.?
4?? I would start looking for where I could be featured, either on someone’s Linkedin post, Podcast, or in an article of news, I’d start making a list of places like podcasts, or online places (or in-person) groups where like-minded people gather and I’d start researching who I was going to reach out to for my ask.?

I’d be selective about who and where I wanted to focus my time and energy,? as the quality and time and thought put into the reachout is more important than the amount of reachouts I do. I’d spend time reading and consuming the type of content put out by these websites or podcasts and I’d spent time crafting the perfect Cocktail for each one.?

When I got onto the podcast or the interview was going to be conducted for the article, I would give an outstanding amount of value and mention that I am a “Whatever you do as a professional” and let them know what you can help with and what problems you are known for (or want to) solve for organizations and Hiring managers.?

Pretty mind blowing, all the controle we truly have over this process right? When we’re willing to do a little more work than everyone else, there is GOLD to be found.?

These 4 Active REACH outs that you have full control over can make your career skyrocket in a matter of weeks.

This is not something that most people do. Most people won’t put in the effort.?

It’s easier to “easy apply” and it’s easier to complain that applying is not working.?
?
It’s easier to get down and out about rejections and let them knock you out.?
?
We must find a different way.
?

No pressure because pressure always repels.?

Freedom to choose and respect people’s decisions regardless of what they are, is where the heart of aligned success is.?

Taking matters into your own hands and ACTIVELY reaching out to people who don’t know you yet, is one of the most under-rated skills in life that will set you free and open up any opportunities you want, for you, for your kids, for your friends,? if we let them.?
