I believe that the equation for life is this:
Performance = Potential - Self Sabotage.
We are are own greatest obstacle.
The greatest limitation on what we achieve lies within our own self.
Stephen King says “A writer is a producer of words.” If you produce words, you’re a writer. If you don’t produce words, you are not a writer.
In 2009, I decided to take writing seriously. Every day my coach would ask me “how many words did you produce today?” There were days when the answer was 20… or less.
I had time. It was important to me. No one was interrupting me. I had ideas... but many, many days I did not produce words.
I became aware of self sabotage.
Self Sabotage is the Most Dangerous Obstacle
The world will put countless obstacles in your path but none will be as big as your own self-sabotage. In the video I share the 4 most destructive methods of self-sabotage.

2 年Thank you Conor - I hit a wall and wondered whether I am limiting my self - the term abundance mindset sprung into my mind and I Google'd it and found you on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkUP47wFkcU - now I've found you here too and I've a feeling what you have to share has the potential to improve my performance and life immeasurably. You have a a very calming tone about you by the way and the speaking skills are coming along nicely too :)

2 年Wow Conor! I haven't heard such a great speech in weeks. Thanks for the view. Anyway, I've been considering that the feeling of deserving what one works for, strives for or seeks is, as Mark Douglas explained in his book "Trading in the Zone", essential to finally getting it. Perhaps it has to do with the Ego and its red line, but I think one form of self-sabotage can be believing you don't deserve what you strive for, which I also think the subconscious in all of us has pondered at one time or another. Thank you anyway, for your words. ??
