4 Ways to Motivate Employees to Perform Extraordinarily

These days, everyone is looking forward to being in the managerial position, but do you really know what it is going to take?

As a business manager, you rely on your employees for your business growth. Therefore, finding the right people is important. But how do you keep them giving 100%?

When it comes to 100%, Motivation is the key.

When I started as a Marketing Manager at ProofHub, I was fortunate to be a part of a skillful team with good marketing skills— dream team. They had a proven track record. Being enthusiastic to work with them, I was more inclined to build my workplace where they are inspired to become the best version of themselves. I want it to be a joyous ride for them. But lately, our team seems to be going through the motions. He who performed extraordinarily at work is lately revealing signs of complacency and zero creativity. For a long time, I have seen them bringing some crazy results, performing at their best, but now the sparks seem to be fading.

Do you want your team to be ready to rock every single day. Switch to ProofHub.

Well, I know the problem: my team lacks motivation. With a good research and looking at the proven ways that can help in revamping the creativity of individuals and reigniting the enthusiasm they have lost, I have come up with these best tips to motivate my people.

Let’s delve in.

The feeling of belongingness

More and more organizations are realizing now the importance of fostering a sense of accomplishment. When working day-in and day-out every employee wonders, “Do I belong here”? A sense of belonging is what builds their connection to the workplace and to do work. It doesn't mean they own the place, but something more powerful. They own the responsibility that instigates in them to act for the good of the company, care more about the company and be more eager to go above and beyond. The studies also show that the feeling of belongingness in employees leads to more than just good vibes. If someone feels they do not belong to the place, they will look for some other place.

A sense of accomplishment

When it comes to employee motivation, accomplishments— small or big, will simply arouse a feeling of a job well done. As a leader, look to provide positive feedback to each of your team members. Don’t forget to take a moment to celebrate their successes. Let them know that they are doing great work. This will keep the positive vibes rolling and keep your team’s motivation buzzing for the future projects.

Anticipating their needs

One thing that is true for all: we all have distinctive work personalities. Some are new to the corporate world, some might be working at the company for too long. Some are introverts, while some extroverts. All of them might be from different backgrounds and inspired by different things. Get to know each of them and see what makes them tick. Ask them questions how they are feeling, what they expect and focus on their needs as much as your own. If your employees feel ignored, they will begin to become less productive.

Incentivize their efforts

At times, employees need a little more than a pat on the back. A good incentive program providing a comprehensive approach to the perks you offer is the need of every employee. Raises and promotions are always appreciated. It will give them a little uplift to keep going and achieve a variety of work-related goals. So, incentives that the employees deserve, be it small or large, reaps benefits.

Turn these ideas into actions if your team is losing hope. I would love to know how do you keep your teams motivated to deliver their best work all the time? Let us know in the comments below.
