4 Ways To Be More Successful

4 Ways To Be More Successful

Welcome back to my newsletter! We all want to be more successful. But what is the best way to do that?

Have you ever heard of the super celebrity or the ultra rich person giving you their morning routine? Mediation, cold plunge, workout, dry sauna, etc all before 6:00 AM so they can cook their kids breakfast and get a second workout in after taking them to school before going to the office at 9:00?

We know motivation helps us start, dedication keeps us going, and habit makes it feel second nature. The simpler something can be the more effective it will be long term.

Success is just the sum of many small efforts. I encourage clients to pick one goal a week make it a habit and build. This won’t fix all your problems over night but over time you’re creating a 2.0 version of yourself.

1. Goal - start big and work your way down. Once you establish your goal how are you going to get there? When do you want to accomplish your goals? And simply work backwards from there

2. Focus on one thing at a time - want to lose weight? At first focus on adding in 3 workouts a week. Once that’s mastered make sure you’re drinking enough water. Build on that by adding in enough protein. Etc. before you add something master the previous task

3. Time - a big factor i hear all the time is I don’t have time to do that. It’s faster to go through a drive thru then cook a meal. If you struggle with time look at where you’re spending your time and what you can do more efficiently. If it’s social media limit yourself to certain hours or a limited amount of time during the day, if it’s kids sports or work duties wake up a few minutes early and throw some food in a crockpot. A little bit of effort now will show big gains in the future.

4. Give yourself grace - we’re human. We can’t do it all. Chances are you can’t be salesperson of the year, parent of the year, never miss a social obligation, be in the best shape of your life, and keep a clean house. Realize that your life has different seasons, look at your goals, and how you can improve your current situation.

Now all of these are hypothetical situations with a longer actual process than I laid out. But…keep it simple.

So what are you going to improve on today?
