4 ways of Achieving Business Agility: Lessons Learned from 18+ Years of Transformation Experience

With more than 18 years of experience in business transformation and leading the Business Agility chapter for a Fortune 500 company, I've synthesized my learnings into a path to success for your team.

  1. Identify the common challenges that you can get your organization to align on. This could include lack of vision and objectives, leadership challenges, resistance to change, and often overlooked- poor communication.
  2. Call to Action- Cost of not being "Agile" and consequences. For example, organizations that are slow to adapt to changing market conditions may struggle to remain competitive, lose market share, or miss out on new opportunities. Clearly articulate to the leadership what's at stake!
  3. Benchmark and highlight success stories- even within the organization and outside. Demonstrating tangible benefits (time to market, code quality, employee satisfaction, NPS). This can help to inspire your leaders and show what is possible with the right approach.
  4. Provide roadmap, practical tips and strategies for leaders to sign-off, such as investing in training and development, creating cross-functional teams, and empowering employees to take ownership of their work.

I look forward to writing more and sharing my journey with my readers. Please reach out with any questions and comments.
