4 Tools To Improve Safety On Site
Safety is the number one reason we got into what we do.?
And having the right tools and training under your belt is the best way to reduce your onsite injuries and keep your team safe. It also frees up your time when you no longer have to spend time reporting the same types of injuries over and over again.?
Without further ado, let’s run through 4 tips to help your team stay safer on site!
- Safety Sessions. Making sure that you keep your team’s safety knowledge up to date is extremely important for making sure that they stay safe. Oftentimes, when we work somewhere for a long time we come complacent in what we do, so it’s important to make sure that these safety sessions aren’t just informative but also fun and engaging. If you don’t have the opportunity to have experts come into site for your hydraulics safety briefings every year then grab our FREE SAFETY DVD HERE. Because we think safety should be accessible to everyone, not just those with the extra cash to spend.?
- Reading Symbols. Symbols can be confusing when you are starting to work with hydraulics and misreading symbols or schematics can lead to massive issues. Make sure your team doesn’t make this mistake with our free symbols training here.?
- Understanding Hoses. Last year we had a chat about how most onsite fire’s get caused by the wrong hoses getting attached to the wrong place. And while being able to read symbols with the training above should help them better understand the systems they are working on, hose safety is a whole beast of its own. Which is why we created a quick guide to hoses and how to know which hose you need for a job. Watch the training here and help lessen the number of hose related fires on site.?
- Educate them! The best thing to do in general is increase your team’s knowledge. The more knowledgeable we are, the more we understand the daily risks we take working with hydraulics systems. Make sure your team are trained to the appropriate level and if you just received a new training budget for the new financial year then why not drop us a comment below to let us know you are interested in pursuing more training for your team.?
