4 TIPS FOR WRITING COVER LETTERS FOR JOBS
Happy Tuesday! It's time for another exciting edition of...
Swift Staffing Group's Tip Tuesday. This week, We're focusing on: 4 TIPS FOR WRITING COVER LETTERS FOR JOBS
1
Do research first. Sending a generic cover letter may feel like it is saving time, but a cover letter that is tailored to the company you’re applying to is a much better idea if you want to get the job.
2
Make the first sentence count. Use it to state immediately why you’re an interesting applicant and what you want to do for their company; don’t use humor, but make sure it stands out.
3
Be authentic. Flattery or overstatements may be tempting, but they’ll be obvious to people who may be reading dozens of cover letters; instead, express yourself honestly.
4
Be short. You may feel as though you need to express yourself fully, but save that for the interview; instead, make the cover letter so short that some STAT one can read it in one glance.
