Filming in the Finger Lakes

Autumn is a time of transition for nature and our ongoing work with the Finger Lakes Regional Tourism Council. We wrapped up our second on-location filming in the region this month. The Finger Lakes rolled out its fine foliage and abundant crops as we focused on agritourism and dug deeper into the unique outdoor experiences the region offers. The weather was as welcoming as our growing community of stakeholder partners generously supported this project.?

You can see some of those community partners in this “teaser reel” which we premiered at the beginning of the month. Amidst a rooftop vineyard with close ties to the Finger Lakes, we showcased highlights from the campaign for an audience of travel writers, influencers, and content creators. We were excited to bring a bit of the Finger Lakes beauty and community spirit to a Brooklyn rooftop. Stay tuned for ongoing updates from this important campaign centering on sustainability, stewardship, and inclusion in the glorious outdoors of New York’s Finger Lake Region.

Could a Simple Shift in Travel Marketing Change the World?

“Amidst #overtourism #climatecrisis — what’s the best solution for travelers? Take longer trips during the off-season. For destinations? Focus on visitors closer to home. Simple solutions are out there! #winwinwin ?????? ~ Rob Holmes

Long haul travelers ?? >> 17% of visitors — those traveling from furthest away — contribute over 62% of the carbon emissions associated with traveling there.
