4 Tips to Grow Your Audience

Here are 4 Tips and the ACTIONS I want you to take this week to Grow your Audience.

?Tip #1- Personalize your content! People like to follow people they like and people they feel like they know –what better way to let your audience know who you are than by being real and open. Don’t be afraid to get personal!

ACTION: Post about something you are passionate about - give people more of a glimpse of why you do what you do.

?Tip #2- Don’t limit yourself! Imagination is powerful – it can take us far or keep us rooted where we stand. Always strive for more!

ACTION: Allow yourself to explore a new creative path - listen to a podcast that you normally would pass by, watch a show in a different genre, read a fiction book rather than non-fiction. Do something that takes you out of your comfort zone to shift your mindset.

?Tip #3- Use Hashtags! Whether you love them or hate them, hashtags have power on social media. Using popular hashtags mixed with related and niche hashtags will attract more audience audience – ranging from broad to specific to local.

ACTION: Try using a hashtag resource like AllHashtags.com to test out some popular large and small hashtags you might not be thinking about. #hashtagstrategy

?Tip #4- Prioritize value over promotion! As tempting as it is to use your social media to promote your business, over-promotion can cause you to lose your audience fast! Instead, you are more likely to gain and retain your audience by providing quality content of value that your audience will want to engage with.

ACTION: Stick to your content pillars and before you post each time ask yourself, “Why should they (being your audience) care? How does this matter to them? Why am I taking the time to share this content?”.
