Do you know what is the #1 skill that you can develop to set yourself apart from the competition??
A kickass positive mindset!
For some people, this comes naturally. For others, it can be more difficult to maintain. But this is 100% something you can cultivate in yourself!
Here are my 4 tips for arming yourself with a positive mindset.
Focus on the present
When we get carried away by worrying about the future, it zaps our focus from the present. Planning and preparing for the future is necessary of course! But only in moderation. Once the anxiety kicks in, accompanied by distraction and frustration, bring yourself back to the present.
How can this help develop a positive mindset?
Focusing on the present forces you to be grateful for where you are RIGHT NOW. You learn how to appreciate what you have, where you want to go, and how you plan to get there!
Make failures productive and constructive
Look. Nobody said failure was fun or easy. But if you don’t fail, you never learn how to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try again!?
We can’t avoid failure. It’s part of the learning process. But how can we keep failure from discouraging us and damaging the positive mindset we’re trying so hard to create for ourselves?
Take a step back and be objective.
What did you learn from your failure? How can you do better next time? How can you use this situation to your advantage when you are faced with the same challenge in the future?
Every failure is a chance to power up and be a BOSS the next time around!
Visualize success
A moment ago, I said don’t worry about the future, focus on the present. Remember that?
Well, hold that thought and put it on pause!
Planning for the future is important sometimes. But how can you plan for the future without getting wrapped up in worry, anxiety, and fear?
I’m going to let you in on a little secret: visualize success.

Find consistent sources of inspiration
Seek out what inspires you! Surround yourself with people and stories of success that you want to emulate!
Why is this important? How can this benefit you while you build a positive mindset?
If you are surrounded by stories of failure, people that tear you down, saying, “You can’t do that!” What do you think will happen?
