4 TIPS FOR DEALING WITH BOSSES WHO CHANGE THEIR MINDS

Tip for the week! It's time for another exciting edition of...

Swift Staffing Group's Tip. This week, We're focusing on: 4 TIPS FOR DEALING WITH BOSSES WHO CHANGE THEIR MINDS

1

Don’t ask for open-ended feedback. If you have a question about a project, ask very specifically about that issue; don’t allow the boss to look over your entire project and decide that it needs massive reworking.

2

Make a specific cut-off time for changes. Make a timeline; if the boss tries to make changes after that is over, remind him or her of your original agreement.

3

Be firm when necessary. If you’re agreeable all of the time, a boss who is inclined to make changes will take advantage of it and try to make more changes than if you push back.

4

Recognize that sometimes changes are necessary. People don’t really want to make changes in something that they worked on, so make sure that you look at your own inclination to resist and see if you need to give in sometimes.
