New Podcast Heta Stolen – with Bo Diczfalusy

The hottest name in Swedish energy industry, Bo Diczfalusy , joined in on our podcast for a unique interview. Bo is the government's special investigator tasked with examining and providing improvement suggestions for the entire electricity market.

In episode four of "Heta S(t)olen," we discuss the challenges facing the system. The regulations must be adapted to new technologies and directives from the EU. But how? – Listen in to the podcast at this link!

Last year, 1.6 GW was installed in Sweden - not bad!

Latest Statistics in Solar Installations

The latest statistics show that there are now a total of over 250,000 solar power installations in Sweden. According to the Swedish Energy Agency's statistics, over 100,000 new solar panel installations were installed in 2023, with a total installed capacity of 1.6 GW.

At the beginning of 2024, the total installed capacity in Sweden was 3,973 MW. In 2023, 103,900 installations were connected to the grid (compared to 55,300 in 2022) with a total installed capacity of 1,600 MW. This is twice as much as the 794 MW installed in 2022. According to the Swedish Energy Agency, there are now over 250,000 grid-connected solar panel installations in the country.

The Rooftop Solar PV Comparison Update produced by CAN Europe

Sweden Falls Behind in Efforts for Solar Cell Installations

CAN Europe is an organization with 200 member organizations working towards climate change.

CAN Europe has reviewed how far eleven European countries have progressed in their efforts to install solar panels on rooftops. In their new report, they note that ten countries receive the same or better scores as in the previous comparison.

As the only country in the comparison, Sweden receives a lower score than in 2022 in this year's comparison. Read the report here https://caneurope.org/rooftop-solar-pv-comparison-report/

Sales slump in solar panel installations.

Svensk Solenergi in Dagens Industri on Green Tax Deductions

The sales of solar panels have broken records for several consecutive years. However, 2024 has begun with a significant sales slump, partly due to the Swedish Tax Agency changing its interpretation regarding the conditions for green tax deductions for home batteries.

The new interpretation entails a significant restriction on who is eligible for the green tax deduction.

Celebrating European Solar Day, June 21st

In just a few years, solar energy has evolved dramatically to become the most affordable clean energy technology and is now a major element of our energy system. Every solar panel installed saves 80-90% CO2 compared to average EU electricity.

This year, the two European industry organizations, Solar Heat Europe and Solar Power Europe, will arrange and celebrate European Solar Day on June 21st.

The European Solar Day, founded by SolarPower Europe, marks an annual celebration of the power of the sun and its importance in the energy transition. It is celebrated across Europe on 21 June, the brightest and longest day of the year. This special occasion is an opportunity for us to unite behind the bright future of European energy. Read more about solar day here.

In Sweden, we call the longest day of the year Midsommar/Midsummer, and it has been celebrated since a very long time. We are prepared also this year to celebrate!

Meet us in Visby, Gotland, during Almedalsveckan.

Almedalsveckan 2024 Coming up in June

Almedalsveckan (Week of Almedalen) is the world's largest democratic meeting place for societal issues. It is a place focused on meetings and conversations, where different voices and perspectives are heard. The origin of Almedalsveckan is the speeches that Olof Palme delivered during several summers in the Almedalen park in Visby.

The Almedalsveckan brand is built on what happens in Almedalen, with the political parties' speeches from the stage as the core, along with physical meetings featuring formal and informal conversations, in Visby, on Gotland, during one summer week.

Svensk Solenergi will, of course, be there to participate in the debates on how to achieve more solar power in Sweden.

Reach out to Alex Jankell, political communicator at +46-73–026 11 96 or [email protected] if you would like to meet and talk to us there.

Kul med nyheter inom solenergi ?? Men ?r det verkligen s? pass stor korrelation mellan Skatteverkets klarg?ring av definitionen av gr?nt avdrag och s?nkningen av antalet installationer?
