Whether you are a solopreneur, entrepreneur, big-time or just wanting to do something awesome - you are probably trying to grow or maintain your businesses, right? ????♀?

I wanted to create something that you can actually implement without a degree in marketing quantum physics. ??

Yes, I made that up.

And there are a lot of channels beyond what is described here but let's keep it down to a 4-5 min-ish read.

I practice "omnipresence" or try to create an "omnichannel."

Yeah, a new word for your vocabulary.

All that means is to have as many "relevant" places as you can within your budget and capability.

Again there are a lot more but below are 4 groups you might want to presule.

1. Being a published author

Everyone wants to be published and be a best seller.

To be known as an industry leader in your field and to have a little shelf life of recognition and fame.

You must know what you are doing.

After all, you wrote the book on it!

However, you will soon find out. you might have to pay 5k to 25k to publish your book - just to find it is not going anywhere exciting. ????

I actually met a New York Times best-selling author. Good guy.

That's not him. Just a placeholder for a more dramatic effect.

He had a history of best-selling books.

However, it generally took him a year and change to complete the book. After everything was said and done earned maybe 50k.

Not so great if that is your thing.

What if you could in a single step pay pennies on the dollar (literally several hundred dollars USD) for a collaboration book and be GARENTEED to be an Amazon Best Selling Author?

And also be in the United States Library of Congress?

It literally takes as long as it takes to write a single-page quote. Let's say about 2 hours if you are slow.

Would be be worth it?

Troy Hipolito - "The Art of Connection" - an Amazon Best-Selling Author

I thought it was worth it!!!

Purchased 3 pages in 2 books.

It is a powerful passive channel for our personal brand and marketing that has some longevity.

You might say - what's the catch?

Well, do you have something worth sharing that can be truly helpful to others?

Well if becoming an Author and an Amazon Best Selling author at that - and having your information be provided in an actual physical book that is distributed around the world.

It is the most affordable and easiest way to break into the publishing market.

Well, it might make sense to have a conversation with Robert Jones. He pulled all this together.

2. Driving business through your social media content

You probably suck at this, don't you?

Here is a little statistic for you from good old Google.

Yes, only 1% of people create content on LinkedIn.

And I am not sure they are even creating content on a regular basis (1x, 2x 5x a week).

So that means there is real opportunity for engagement.

You might say: SO WHAT? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

It means it is a channel to build your business in real time.

Some engaged and some were lurkers.

I mean they saw my content all the time for 6 + months.

And then they decided to have a Zoom meeting via my booking link.

That later formed into a business relationship.

Some high-value clients for my white glove service, some for my affordable Live Masterclass, and others ended up being a type of partner.

Here is a valuable clue.

For every 500 views-ish view I get, typically I will be able to gain a "vetted" meeting out of it.

For clarification - It could be a combination of posts to add up to that too.

Most of mine get from 500 to 5,000.

And I see people even get 100 X of what I do. Good for them.

I am not really a big algorithm guy anymore as I only need a single new client a month to be profitable.

Now this is the Key to it all.

Well, I concentrate on things I deem valuable to others in my tribe.

Not available to me necessarily - but what is valuable to others.

How can what you say to present make their life or business better?

And in bite-sized pieces that they can implement instantly.

Structure of a post is also helpful

  1. Your hook. The first line. It is clear and impactful? Does it resonate with a response from your people?
  2. Your steps and content. Concise and easy to understand and follow.
  3. Your CTA (call to action). What are you asking them to do? Is it a question to engage with? Is it an action to do?

I wrote an article a while back on a lot of the particulars of a post. It is all current except the number of hash # tags. Use 0 - 3 nowadays.

So I will provide 2 different calls to action.

  1. If you need help with content or increasing business here on LinkedIn and like to pick my brain then schedule 20 minutes for a conversation. If I have a lot open then we can talk. https://go.oncehub.com/selectconsultation
  2. If you like to see a detailed explanation of everything it takes to make good posts then see my article I did a while back. Lot's of good information there.https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/7-best-practices-posting-linkedin-troy-hipolito/

3. Creating direct outreach campaigns

These can be direct mail pieces, direct messages (LinkedIn DMs), and emails (single and group blasts).

Many people hate this and most do it all wrong.

Some love it but all they know is how to spam people.

Again the core principle of LinkedIn is how can you provide VALUE to their network.

"Buy my stuff" - is NOT valuable.

Again it is spam.

So don't be a spammer.

When marking it is good to know when to push and when to pull.

So content is more of a pull while outreach is more of a push.

Using both correctly is a generally good idea.

LinkedIn at a minimum presents a lot of opportunities with the ability to send to your 1st level connections a message.

As long as it is appropriate then you will be alright.

A few examples:

  1. Sending a thank you note (DM) on LinkedIn message. That can be a text, voice memo, image, or video. So if someone says happy birthday, someone connects with you, stuff like that. Personally, I find thanking someone for connecting a really good way to get to know them. My personalized "thank you for connecting" videos are so well tuned they get a 20% conversion for the people that see it to a vetted meeting, right off that one message. That is huge!
  2. Connected and they are not that active on LinkedIn - well sending a series of 3 to 4 emails might be a good idea. Just connect the dots and refer to the relationship or the initial conversations.
  3. Mail a magazine or personalized gift. I did that - and got a great response. Gain new interested people and keep the clients I had even more interested in working with me. Remember keeping a client is easier than gaining a new one. Did a post on creating auto mailing my magazine: https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/troyhipolito_magazine-personalization-relationshipbuilding-activity-7114564682325114880-9NKD

So you want to create a killer marketing system. Well, I am not about to write you a book.

But the image below should provide you with some clues on what is possible.

Example of a possible campaign

If you like you could join our Masterclass. We literally give you lesson by lesson with separate days for consultation on how to do that. Super affordable (< $200) and it is LIVE 3 weeks a month.

3. Creating, managing, and growing your LinkedIn LIVE

This is a chance to hear and see you speak in long form. It is a contrast to the small-sized chunks of info you put out.

A chance for them to really get to know you and to interact with you.

And it is where people take the plunge and buy stuff from you.

Yep - I said it.

I almost always get people in my paid Masterclass or event eager potential high-value clients to schedule a convo and sign up.

Check out the latest event: https://www.dhirubhai.net/events/7112735957346381824/comments/

With my monthly show ↓

  1. We always get between 100 and 300 people to sign up.
  2. It happens LIVE stream via my LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter (at the same time!).
  3. My replays get over 1000 replays.
  4. There are comments during the conversation that is verbally answered but it gives you a chance to reply to them later. And that is a huge opportunity for your CTA (call to action).
  5. You can send it to your email list to increase viewers.
  6. Half the time I have a guest speaker that can increase my viewership with all the items mentioned above. Think 2x per guest speaker.
  7. You can pull all the emails from the people that registered via 3rd party tool to add to your email list.

Month after month it is a powerhouse.

We even manage events for others if needed.

Let me rephrase. It's easy if you are the "right you," come from a place of service, and network to build better relationships.

Gaining business is a byproduct of helping others.
