People choose to work in coworking spaces because it motivates them to perform their work more productively. More importantly, a coworking space offers various perks starting from convenient workspaces to a friendly environment and ending with additional technology benefits.
At The Mint Hub, we?help new and seasoned workers alike to stay on task by cultivating a productive environment. Space planning and management, experiential design, and social networking opportunities all play a role.
However, in some cases, it is expected to experience a sense of low productivity. We have compiled a few tips that have been proven to boost productivity levels in our co-working space.?
- Work in breaks? - Nothing is more draining than having to sit down at your desk all day, staring into your monitor, and drowning in your work. This is one of the fastest ways to burn out and should be avoided at all costs. Instead, try breaking your workday down into smaller steps. Try dedicating the first few hours of your work day to recurring tasks. After a short break is taken, the rest of your time until lunch can be allocated for projects that need your attention. Finally, you can dedicate the rest of your day to buttoning up whatever you’ve been working on, and preparing yourself and your space for the next day.
- Create a schedule and stick to it - Self-discipline is an essential aspect of productivity. It’s easy to be distracted by other people working around you, especially those not part of your company and who don’t share the same targets and goals. Some of the ways you can create a schedule include the use of to-do lists, use of a journal, a google calendar, etc
- Stay active - Sitting in the same position for a long time can cause neck and back pain. We recommend taking a break for 10 minutes every hour. Take a walk outside or to the kitchen and grab a cup of coffee or just stand up and give yourself a good stretch.?
4. Be neat and organized - Nothing starts a bad day than an untidy desk. You don’t need a stack of books and 5 pens on your desk, not mentioning. Invest in desk stationery, available at your nearest store that can help you keep things organized.
