I would like to discuss with you Four Rules you must follow if you want to build a successful business as an agent. These four rules include three core values of ours and one rule for achieving high performance.?
1. Knowledgeable.?
To be knowledgeable to me is to have an extensive depth of knowledge in your core function, ours happens to be property and our local market. Some people choose to stop learning and growing the days soon after they leave school. I think personally, I did the opposite. I threw myself into more learning after I left school than I ever did, whilst at school and haven't stopped since. By being truly knowledgeable of your market and the way in which you go about your business. This will inspire confidence in your potential clients, giving them the feeling that they have partnered with a true market expert.?
2. Committed.?
To fully commit to anything can be pretty powerful. The moment when your intentions and your actions are aligned to mean you achieve incredible results. When you commit to your career as an agent, you can grow exponentially. However, when you commit to your client’s goals, that is where a great agent can emerge and help clients to buy and sell homes allowing them to move to the next stages of their lives.?
3. Straight-Talking.?
This is a core value we live by in our business. Being straight talking means you approach and deal with any issue head on and in an honest manner. I think too often in our industry the public are expecting agents to be a bit shady or dishonest in character. From the very start of my career, I've been dedicated to dispelling this myth and I've found by having the right conversations with my clients’ every time even when it's hard, is the very best thing to do. I have found it helps build trust between you and your clients.?

4. Consistency.?
This last rule falls out of our three core values. For me, it's more of a secret to achieving high performance.?
Being consistent in your role as an agent will immediately place you in the top 10% of people in our industry. The things I would encourage consistency in are things like, your vendor communication, prospecting for new business, social media activity and presence, blog writing, self-development and exercise to name just a few.?
There are many systems, tools and hacks you can use now that will help you remain consistent.
So there you have it, my Four Rules to be a successful agent.?
These were mine. What would yours be?
