4 Reasons You Should Attend Good Tech Fest

4 Reasons You Should Attend Good Tech Fest

I am so excited for what we have in store for Good Tech Fest this year! It will be our first hybrid even with 2 days of plenary sessions being broadcast around the world from Washington DC, followed by a 24 hour series of virtual, global workshops.

Here are just a few reasons why I think you should join us at this years event.

1) Connect With A Global Community of Peers

We have always been anchored to the fact that first and foremost we are a community of practitioners. People who wrestle with the challenging questions and issues of using tech and data for social change. We have a myriad of job titles; everyone from executive directors to data scientists to program officers to product managers to developers attend our events. What unites us is a vision that data and tech can be used to drive social change, but that its positive effects are not guaranteed. We must use this technology responsibly.

At this years event we are doubling down on community. If you join us in DC we'll have a lot of time for networking and connecting with friends and peers. We launch the event with a party Monday night and Tuesday evening we'll be going out on the town together for a special event. And for those joining virtually we have invested in a brand new system built to help drive connections in virtual events. There will be roundtables and office hours you can join and it will be easier than ever to connect with old friends and colleagues.

2) Data & Tech Is A Part of Every Organization Now

No one can ignore the fact that data and technology play a vital role in the impact of all organizations. Technologists increasingly have and deserve a seat at the table of an organization's strategy, programs, and evaluation.

At Good Tech Fest we help organizations and organizational leaders identify useful ways to leverage technology and technologists for impact. We aren't tech utopians. We are pragmatists focused on helping all organizations build the capacity and skills they need to use these tools effectively.

If you are a practitioner or a leader looking to better utilize data and tech in your organization Good Tech Fest is for you.

3) Our Speakers Are Crazy This Year

We have an amazing line-up of speakers we'll be announcing later this month. It's a slate of folks I'm so excited for. We have great practitioners and innovators alike sharing their experiences. We have folks whose names you'll recognize and some you won't but you won't forget once they speak. Our slate of speakers just continues to get better and better. You don't want to miss out.

4) Access Year Round Learning

As an attendee, whether virtual or in-person, you'll get access to every recorded session, so you can spend all year taking in great data and tech for good content. Additionally you'll be invited to our Slack community where you can share resources and opportunities all year long.

All to say, get you and your team registered today!
