4 Reasons Why: Placing Skilled Candidates Makes Sense Right Now

There are opportunities to be found in these headwinds! In uncertain times, look at making the moves that give your operation the flexibility, agility and skills you need to keep things moving forward.?

I was recently working with a fast-growing start-up client to place a number of skilled candidates in various Salesforce positions within their business. The goal was to fill 17 positions as quickly as possible with the best talent available.?

If they had relied on traditional in-house recruitment methods, they could have reasonably expected to shortlist and interview upwards of 100 candidates in order to find the final lucky 17.?

Fortunately, they reached out to me to help with their recruiting process. Of the 28 candidates I put forward, all 17 positions were filled. Today, they have grown to a very healthy 60-strong operation.

That’s a fairly sizeable allocation of resourcing, hours and budget saved that could now go towards more productive uses for a start-up company.??

Great… why are you telling me this?

Well, I wanted to share this little anecdote because at a time when we’re all feeling these biting economic headwinds cut through even the most insulated of jackets, any gains you can find in productivity, ROI, and engagement are well worth looking at.?

Inevitably, when belts start to tighten, one of the first areas scrutinised is human resources. So, I’ve looked at the benefits from my own experience, with why placing skilled candidates can be one of the best things you can do right now to keep things humming along.

1 Cost saving and ROI

Bringing on someone who can hit the ground running when both budgets and time are tight makes a world of difference. The ROI you gain through skilled candidates with reduced training, onboarding and operational costs while at the same time enjoying increased autonomy, means that you can really optimise bang for buck. It’s a super strategic investment that if planned right, won’t just deliver short term benefits, but will also give you longer term yields too.

2 Agility + Adaptability?

The right skilled candidates are able to confidently navigate and thrive in challenging conditions. They bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table with their flexibility, and can be agile enough to handle multiple tasks, deadlines and ever-changing environments. They can also possess the resilience to flourish in these fluid situations, leaning on their creativity to rise up to challenges.?

3 Enhance organisational performance

The cascading effect of having the right people in the right positions is always a beautiful thing to behold. Skilled Salesforce candidates have a way of enhancing overall organisation performance through a balance of expertise and experience. Businesses can improve their customer relationships, increase productivity, and as a result, have a better chance of growing revenue faster. In short, the positive net impact of placing skilled candidates keeps you ahead of the game and the new opportunities flowing.

4 Employee retention + engagement

Placing skilled candidates has the potential to positively impact employee retention and engagement too. Their expertise allows them to contribute effectively to team dynamics, mentor junior team members, and drive a culture of continuous learning and growth. This fosters a positive work environment that enhances employee satisfaction, reduces turnover, and boosts overall productivity.
