4 Part Series: Part 4 - Top Tips
I thought I would finish the series with some top tips for securing, negotiating or finalising a PLO deal:
?? Some capital is required – buying a house for £1 isn’t true. At a minimum you will need to pay legal fees. In addition a refurb of some sort is usually required.?
????? In our experience, a deal won’t reach completion unless the right solicitors (for both parties) are used. These contracts are commercial contracts so a traditional conveyancer might not have the expertise required!?

?? We call this a bonus strategy – it’s difficult (but not impossible) to go out and source PLOs specifically, but we find when you are sourcing deals generally, you come across situations where a PLO works perfectly. ?LISTEN to the agent/seller and spot factors that mean a PLO is a great solution.
?? When speaking to an owner, never use the words “Purchase Lease Option” (or PLO) because most people will have no idea what you’re talking about! Keep the language simple and explain the concept rather than focussing on official terms. ?
There are a lot of hurdles but PLOs are a fantastic win-win for all involved...once you get the deal over the line!?
