The Short answer....MITIGATING RISK and generating COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE for your business.
We wouldn’t impose unnecessary risk into ours or our families lives so why would we do this with our businesses? I would say for the most part people do not impose risk intentionally BUT they do it regularly so let’s look at some of the drivers behind this:
Back to the question about what the four companies above have in common:
All were created by the same founders:?Russ Fadel, Phil Huber, and Lawrence Fan!
How have these founders established a 30 year legacy as industrial technology leaders? While there are many answers, the one I would like you to consider in the context of de-risking and future proofing your business is their second to market approach.?
Wonderware (went public then sold to Aveva) was not the first MES by a long shot but Phil and team recognized the gaps in the V1.0 Technology and brought something completely game changing to the market which is still the industry leader, 30 years later.
Lighthammer (acquired as SAP MII) was not the first company to focus on shop floor to back office integration as an enablers of industrial efficiency but Russ and team saw the gaps in the V1 technology and brought something completely game changing to the market which is still the industry leader, 20 years later and deployed across ~90% of all SAP industrial deployments globally.
ThingWorx IoT which Russ and team eventually sold to PTC was not the first attempt at IoT but Russ, Phil and Lawrence saw the gaps in the V1.0 technology and brought something completely game changing to the market which is still the industry leader, 10 years later.

You might be seeing the pattern by now?
A proven and industry-committed leadership team who knows how to evaluate a relevant category of industrial tech, find the gaps and bring something to market that is game changing and built from the ground up to be future proofed.?
So why are we so sure Augmentir will follow in the same footsteps? A few years ago the Phil, Russ and Lawrence looked at what was coined the connected worker market and saw real potential, but also saw huge gaps in the V1.0 connected worker technologies:
A couple of years in, the same exact pattern is emerging as with their prior companies:
If anything I shared resonates, feel free to reach out. I or any of our leadership team would love to talk to you about how we can de-risk and digital journey.
