Content is very important in every kind of marketing. Whenever someone opens an online business he/she needs the help of content to find their audience, reach them, and get sales. Content plays a very vital role in it. But do you know that recent stats reveals that only 30% of B2B business thinks that their content marketing is effective That’s so disappointing no??? Don’t worry content marketing is not rocket science that you can’t learn and implement in your business to get desired results.?
The issue is not with content that has suddenly become less effective. Instead, the issue is does not have the proper strategy. Marketing gurus and Mentors will only tell you to focus on your content but will never share with you how to create a proper strategy which ingredients you should add to your content and how to take full advantage of it.
So let’s dive into it and learn what are these 4 components we can add and create content that converts and brings more sales and engagement.
SET A GOAL:
First of all, your campaign needs the right direction. So you need a goal that you can measure to see if you are doing right on not. Simply saying conversion is my goal is technically a goal but you can’t measure it. So here is the crucial point which you need to add to your goal.
An example of a good goal will be “I want to increase my 10% conversions via Facebook and Instagram Ads in a specific Region in next three months”. In simple words, your goal should be measurable, and attainable. In our example, our goal is clear we want to increase our conversion in the next six months and we can easily track our goal and see if we are doing right or if we need to change our strategy.
CORE MESSAGE:
You need to define your core message according to your product or service like what you want to convey to your audience. What is your product or service about Your core message should not be your company slogan. It should be something different and very focused too.
Your Core message will be the heart of your marketing strategy. One of the main reasons our marketing strategy is not converting is that we send multiple messages via our content. In one piece of content, we are saying something different and in order piece of content, we are saying something entirely different.
By doing this we are confusing our audience which is very wrong. Every piece of content your business creates should be unified by your core message, and it's critical that all personnel of the content team are aware of it.
CREATE A PERSONA:
The third step is to create a persona for your audience. Your core message may be collective but the content voice tone should be entirely different. It totally depends on what you are talking about.
You don’t have to speak like a robot that time is already gone. Now people don’t like this and they will not respond to your content. You need to create a persona that actually gives them a message that you are talking to them directly in the same place.
It doesn't have to be very informal, but it also shouldn't be overly official. Furthermore, it should be obvious right away who in the team wrote what. It should be clear from the tone and style with or without their names on it.

IDENTIFY YOUR AUDIENCE PAIN POINT:
Content is not just sharing pictures, videos, etc. You need to identify your audience's pain point and what they are looking for. Your content should reflect user needs and it should improve your user's daily routines and life.
"A good content strategy involves the process of producing evergreen content, which constantly reflects the needs of the user."
ANDREW RASO
To understand what is your audience's pain point. You need to conduct different research. You can also conduct surveys with Survey Monkey and spy on your competitors to understand what type of content they are posting. What is their main agenda? There are lacking in any point. So that you can cover that point in your strategy to stay one step ahead of your competitors.
This research will help you to understand what type of content they are looking for and what type of content they are responding to.
BONUS POINT:
After creating content by using all 4 steps now it’s important to test your content to understand what piece is performing and what type of content you need to edit. For this, you can take help from A/B Testing.
You need to design multiple pieces of content and wait for results. You need to make this habit to check your results every day and make decisions based on the results.
All of this required lots of patience and a desire to learn new things. You can’t expect results in the first few weeks. If you have done all this right you will be able to refine your marketing strategy and you will be able to create that content that actually converts.
So when you will you start improving your content strategy???
