Getting focused can sometimes be hard. Staying focused for a longer period is even harder. ??

If we told you there are tools that will help you with the concentration, optimisation and prioritisation of tasks, would you believe us?

So, what are these ‘magical’ concentration-maximising apps we are talking about and how do we use them? ??

Timewarp ??

Do use TimeWarp to restrict access to websites that distract you from your work. For example, if you often find yourself ending up on TikTok, then you can set up TimeWarp to block this site. You can choose from these three different actions that Timewarp executes after the blocking:

  1. TimeWarp automatically redirects you to a website that you will be more productive on (you can specify which website this is).
  2. TimeWarp displays a motivational quote of your choice.
  3. If you do decide to take a break from TimeWarp for a moment, it can display how much time you have spent on the ‘forbidden’ website.

Forest ??

Forest works in a rather unique way. It gives you the possibility to plant virtual trees whenever you stay away from a website that distracts you. If you do manage to stay away from the distractions for 30 minutes a tree grows in your virtual forest. However, if you don’t manage to stay away from those time-draining websites, your tree dies. So, whatever you do, don’t give in to temptations!

Another cool feature is that by growing a bigger forest you earn coins which you can spend on real trees that the app creators plant through a partnership with a charity organisation. How cool is that? ??

Serene ???? ♀?

This is an all-in-one productivity tool. By clicking "Go Serene," you enter a focus session that can last between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on your own preference. During this focus session, Serene does the following:

  1. It shuts down distracting apps.
  2. It keeps track of what distracts you and creates a dashboard of this so you can gain insight into your behaviour.
  3. It turns your music on or off depending on your needs.
  4. It sets your phone on silent mode.

Todobook ??

And last but not least- an app to replace your newsfeed on Facebook with a to-do list. You can still use all the social media platform’s core functions but you will not spend hours scrolling through funny cat videos anymore.

Now you know, even if you have to sometimes push yourself a bit, you can do it!
