4 ESSENTIAL PRINCIPLES YOU MUST MASTER BEFORE YOU LAUNCH YOUR BRAND/BUSINESS IN THE MARKET PLACE

Growth comes from a relentless focus on your core competencies.

As a brand/business trying to take the marketplace, there are principles regarding what makes any growth strategy effective.

First and foremost, you need to have a clear grasp of your?Brand Identity.?

Your brand identity is who you are and what you want to be known for in the marketplace.??

Brand identity can include your logo, website, colour codes, product design, social media presence and much more. It will require some amount of investment, but it will be worth it in the end.

Your brand identity says a lot about how you are perceived in the marketplace. It should be paramount.?Before adopting a growth strategy, ensure that your?Brand Identity?is in place.?

Secondly, you need to know your?strengths?in the marketplace.?

What can you offer or do better than your competitors?

Why would anyone want to work or patronize your brand or business?

To be able to provide some of these answers you might need to conduct an in-depth market research in your line of expertise first. To be a successful brand, you need to learn how to leverage your?strengths.?

Thirdly, it is important to know how to?position?your brand as an authority in the marketplace through the opportunities at your disposal.?

One of the reasons why many brands/businesses struggle to keep up is because they are not building for the long term. They aren't thinking like an authority in their industries. They are more comfortable doing things the traditional way even when there are little or no results. Opportunities can present themselves through strategic partnerships and leverage. If you want to make a great name for your brand/business, learn how to position yourself for opportunities.

Finally,?don't mingle with the crowd.

The fact that every other person is doing it in a particular way doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you too. Know what works for your brand and business and stay committed to it. Knowing what your brand/business stands for also helps you segregate yourself from the crowd.?Not every partnership is good for your brand/business. Learn to filter out unproductive partnerships from the onset.

Before I go, here's a quick recap.....

??Define your brand identity as create your brand around it

??Understand your strength and the problem you are good at solving
