4 DAYS TO SAVE THE WORLD

How being in a TV Series changed my life

A few weeks ago I took part in the filming of a revolutionary TV series, instigated by visionary film producer Chris Lavoie.???10 teams. 10 young minds. 100 brilliant entrepreneurs.??But only 4 days to solve some of the world’s most important social issues such as women empowerment, curing cancer, stopping cyber-bullying & ending racism.?

Braving the travel restrictions to get on set of?4DTSTW?was one of the best decisions of my life as I came back transformed.??Kind of like when I come back from a Tony Robbins event.??It’s quite amazing the magic that happens when you bring together people who have an unexplainable drive to make the world better…and challenge them to actually do it over 4 days.???And I can say, mission accomplished.

What made the magic possible was a deep connection between people’s stories and the cause they chose to address.??As a former 17 year old, single teen mother who considers herself very lucky to be where she is today, I chose to attack Women Empowerment.???During the 4 days, I deeply connected to the cause, to my own story and to the amazing individuals that were on my team. After many years of silence and knowing that millions of people would be hearing me, I opened up my story to perfect strangers…on camera.??

How did I go from single teen mom with no money to successful CEO of a tech company ???Looking back, I was empowered all throughout my journey.??First by my beautiful daughter Alexandra who gave me the courage & determination to fight for us both.??Then from my mother who always told me that I could accomplish whatever I wanted and that everything I needed was within me.??Then through the teachers in high school, college & university who were understanding & supportive (and always kept a box of Kleenex handy).??Then later in life by my husband who supported me when I decided to leave my high-paying job in marketing to become an entrepreneur & launch an HRTech company.??

Back to my normal (non-TV) life, I took some time to reflect on the key learnings of my journey at?4DTSTW?and how it will affect my own future trajectory:??

1.?????By empowering one woman who needs it, you not only change her life, you change the life of a family, possibly a community and who knows where the chain ends.

2.?????More than ever today, women are key to solving the world’s social issues.??Men need to be part of the solution and contribute to Empowering more women and many authentically want to.

3.?????Young people need to be more exposed to successful adults and role models earlier in their lives, so that they can develop confidence faster.??Even though they are young, they can also contribute to finding solutions to the world’s problems.

4.?????Adults should seek the perspective of young minds more often, as their bring a refreshing outlook that is not limited by barriers created by experience.

5.?????People should not be afraid of revealing their stories, their “why” and their authentic selves as they can inspire others into action.???The right words, at the right time can literally change someone’s life. It can inspired action, trigger courage, generate hope and create deep relationships that can last a life time.?

6.?????When you innovate and take risks, there are always hurdles & expecting perfection is unrealistic.??What’s important is to focus on the journey, the progress and what unites us rather that what separates us.?

Ultimately, if perfect strangers that came together for only 4 days were able to develop business models to address 10 of the world’s most important social issues…Can you imagine the possibilities?!??

A TV series going beyond pure entertainment to help solve social issues…???Now that’s pure genius.??And not just for the sake of the show, as my team and I will actually be launching the business model we developed on set to empower more women across the world.???Stay tuned.?

Looking forward to seeing the release of?4 Days To Save The World?in the Fall 2021…but for me, the magic has already happened.?

Thanks Chris.??

Working with you and the team was the joy of this experience!

Toujours impressionnant de constater que tu es toujours si engagé et enthousiaste Julie Hubert ( je me souviens que les echanges ne tombent jamais dans la banalité quand tu es là). J’ai bien hate de regarder cette série.
