The 3rd Outing
We were in the month of June when I got accepted into an accelerator program with the prestigious Lagos business school for a course on leadership and waste management which is one of the best industry knowledge I have ever gained.
I met several industry professionals and young shall grow like me.
I drop my displeasure and current challenge on Green Recycler which was logistics, off-taker distance, and the treatments I get on my two visits to Tongan Maje.?
I was quickly connected with another offtake Mr. Jeff who is closer to my location and is accessible for any complaint, unlike the foreigners-controlled Tongan Maje facility who leaves everything to my fellow extorting people.
Although Mr. Jeff was hoping to offtake at NGN70/kg after interactions with him we settled for NGN80/kg which?am grateful for.
So I just went back to my collector Giwa and we proceed.
We collected 2 tons and we called the vehicle that takes 3tons to load the materials (remember we have about 600kg on the ground earlier).
Now the vehicle charged me 35k and the loaders 10k.
Then at the facility,? we got a total of 1950kg.
I was surprised to hear the figure, and so was Giwa.

Everyone was really confused.?
Although none of us was on the ground when measurements were done but it's okay to let it fly.?
At the end of this round, we spent 100k for stock, 35k for logistics, and 10k for loading. Yes, we reused the bags we bought earlier.?
The total money spent was 145k and we received 156k.
After the 3rd outing, we finally recorded a profit.
Yes, it's so little but who told you to despise a humble beginning??
Yes, I didn't mention that I got NGN300k fund from my aunt... but now you know.
Watch out for the next episode on how we attempted to solve our logistics issues.?
Thank you for following Green Recycler's journey so far we will like your feedback in the comment section.

2 年Interesting journey so far. But how did a total stock of 2.6 tonnes reduced to 1.9 tonnes? Is there a way to reduce cost of collection or stocking?
