Elegoo unveils Saturn 4 Ultra 16K
ELEGOO has announced the launch of the Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, the latest addition to its line of resin 3D printers. According to the company, the new model improves on the Saturn 4 Ultra and is designed to offer greater precision and enhanced user-friendly features.
The new machine boasts a 14 x 19 μm XY resolution and 0.02 mm Z-axis accuracy, and includes a quick-release, non-slip design and a smart tank heating system to keep resin at 30°C for consistent print quality, even in low temperatures.?
“This model represents the culmination of our latest innovations,” said Chris Hong, founder and CEO of Elegoo in a press release. “As a leader in resin 3D printing, our goal is to enhance the user experience and continue advancing our mission of making 3D printing technology accessible and beneficial for everyone.”
6K Additive and EOS awarded America Makes project
6K Additive, a division of 6K , and EOS have been selected for the America Makes sustainability and environmental benefits project for additive manufacturing. Other organizations participating in this project include 美国德克萨斯A&M大学 , 3Degrees , Wichita State University and the National Institute for Aviation Research . The proposal directly addresses sustainable production of aerospace and defense products via additive manufacturing. The winners’ primary objectives are to develop and demonstrate sustainable AM practices and products through design, material selection and development, material handling, and/or recycling.
“When it became time to decide on a material development partner for this project, 6K Additive was quickly identified as a frontrunner,” said Jon Walker , government relations & key account manager for EOS in a press release. “Their expertise in the field of sustainable materials and proven track record supporting grant projects in the DoD community made them the clear choice for partnership.”

Rapid Fusion to open 3D printing robot demonstration center
Rapid Fusion will open a 3D printing robot demonstration center this month, building on a 25% rise in sales, according to a statement from the company. The technology specialist has reportedly completed a £750,000 investment drive that has seen it develop two new additive manufacturing platforms and build a dedicated facility in Exeter, UK to showcase its solutions.
The 5,000 sq ft unit on Skypark will house the firm’s Apollo cell and ZEUS platform, the latter of which combines a 3D printing robot with CNC milling capability for large mold applications.
“2024 was a very good year for us, with revenue surpassing £1.7m on our additive manufacturing platforms,” said Rapid Fusion's founder, Jake Hand , in a press release. “That was way above expectation.”
Structure signs software licensing agreement with HP
Under a new software licensing agreement with Structure , HP Additive Manufacturing (AM) Solutions - 3D Printing will offer the Structure software development kit to provide 3D scanning application development services to its 3D printing clients. According to HP, this is part of an initiative to provide end-to-end 3D scanning and 3D printing services to its clients, accelerating adoption across diverse applications.
“Our agreement with Structure provides our clients with access to the industry’s leading 3D scanning software development tools and is an important step in enabling companies to maximize our technology,” said Pierre Kaiser , head of 3D design for HP, in a press release. “This is the perfect blend of Structure’s 3D scanning and imaging expertise combined with HP’s global 3D printing leadership. The winners will be our clients, who now have access to the industry’s leading app development technology to move their 3D printing vision forward.”
