3D-printed properties are reality

Besides the PropTech inventions that are added to a building, the real estate and construction sectors go a step further: the complete 3D-printing of a house. In the Netherlands, the company 3DPRINTEDHOUSE is developing and executing residential homes with Project Milestone. The properties will be 100% residential and just the first few of what comes next.

The houses are made of durable concrete and are energy efficient. During the design of the buildings, comfort, light and quietness were taken into account. The five houses are made in a natural wooded environment.

The printed houses will be done in steps, small begin as test and ending with the ultimate goal: a fully 3D-printed house. Before a whole house will be printed the project-team first print only the ground floor of the first building with further construction building by a professional company. The last house that is part of the project, the fifth, will be completely printed. The project-team sees the development as an extensive innovation that can be disruptive to the (residential) construction sector.
