About Dave Martin
Dave Martin, founder and managing director of 280 Capital Partners, is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur. He has been a CEO leader of four information technology (IT) companies and a strategic advisor and/or executive chairman for dozens of other IT companies. One current leadership activity of note is serving on the board of trustees of the Computer History Museum, the leading worldwide institution focused on the history of and future for all things related to information technology.
While serving in these leadership positions, Dave has coached hundreds of CEOs, executive leaders, and members of the boards of directors. His coaching focuses on how to apply more effective thinking to a company’s leadership, strategic direction, and financial goals. Similarly, while serving as an officer, board member, or trustee for numerous nonprofit industry associations and educational institutions, he coaches fellow board members to apply more effective thinking to the organizations’ strategic decisions.
Dave received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Princeton University, where he also started and lettered on the varsity football and baseball teams. It was as a freshman at Princeton that he first developed the MegaCepts process to arrive at your greatest thoughts on any subject; this leads to more effective thinking and decision-making in both your personal and professional life.
After graduating, he joined IBM, where he became knowledgeable in computer science and launched his career as a leader in the complex, fast-moving, and dynamic tech industry.
