38, I'm Coming For You

38, I'm Coming For You

38, I’M COMING FOR YOU!

I just celebrated my 38th birthday (yippee ki-yay)! I'm so thankful to have so many people who love me! THANK YOU - you know who you are!?

You know those people that talk about getting old all the time, and how it sucks, and how your body changes, and blah, blah, blah??The ones who aren't actually 'old'?

Well, that ain’t me. As I say often, and like to remind others, I’m a young buck. So full of LIFE!

How you view yourself, speak to yourself, and speak about yourself carries so much weight. If you're someone who constantly complains about being old when you're not, you might want to stop.?

I feel more equipped for life today than I ever have. And that’s interesting, because my life is the most chaotic and uncertain and stressful as it’s ever been. Starting a business, being married, and having three kids is not for the faint of heart.?

I struggle everyday. But I’ve never been more convinced that I was created to spend the rest of my life with my beautiful wife. There's never been a time in my life where I was more certain that I was born to be a father. And I've never been more passionate about the work I'm doing with Soccer Resilience. I was created for such a time as this (and so were you)! ?

There's no way around it, life's hard and dirty. It’s messy and painful. It’s not comfortable and cushy. But that’s how I love it. I want to know when I look back on my life that I’ve lived. Truly lived. And truly loved! Something WAY too few do.?

Study after study has shown that when people look back on their lives when they're on their deathbed, that they regret their inactions. Not their actions. It’s what they didn’t do. It’s what fear kept them from doing.

What’s holding you back? What scares you?

Whatever it is, face it! Run toward it, like the Buffalo (look this up, it's pretty cool)!

That’s where you’ll find LIFE. That’s where you’ll come alive. In the muck and mire. In the chaos and confusion.

38 is without a doubt going to be the best year of my life! I'm a young buck. And I'm ready for whatever the good Lord brings my way!

Bring it on 38!

BE BOLD. BE COURAGEOUS. KEEP THE FAITH!
