#37 Save your job from AI

Seeing AI is getting smarter and smarter, the whole idea of losing jobs to AI seems to be daunting for everyone. Some may think it's not gonna happen anytime soon. Maybe or may not. But the world is not stopping from innovating new technologies. So, it's on your hands to keep your job safe.

A few decades down the line, AI may introduce new work to the job market by replacing the existing ones, especially the menial jobs. So, the workforce involved in the menial jobs is forced to upgrade their skill set or learn an entirely new skill set. Suppose if you're in your 35s and you were doing a menial job for more than 2 decades, it's not easy for you to train your mind to learn an entirely new one. So, what we'll do? We'll struggle to get enough willpower.

Yes, that's true. So, what can we do now to feel greater confidence in switching your career? Learning! Learning!! Learning!!! Learn something new every day. Yeah, it's difficult. I know it to my heart. I've been through that phase several times. Automatically, hands are going to the cell phone to binge-watch or other ways to numb ourselves. It's always difficult to start something from zero. We need to overcome that initial inertia.

Kick yourself up and start learning every day. Just try to become 0.01 per cent better than yesterday. Results get compounded if you just do that. It's the only way for us to be relevant in the growing world of AIs.
