365 days later of meditation and what I have learned!
Yesterday marked a full year of daily meditation for me using the Calm app. Unfortunately, on the eclipse day, I meditated, but it wasn’t logged on to the app, so it didn't count. At first, I was disappointed, thinking I hadn't achieved my goal. However, I quickly realized that the truth differed from what I initially thought.
But if you take the 310 days and add the 54 days straight since the eclipse, it equals a year. Why does the number of days that no one cares about matter more than the reality of the situation? Meditation has taught me image versus reality. Finding peace in the moment is my goal now.?
On the day of my full year of meditating every day, the clock turns to 11 a.m., and I am all out of sorts, feeling disappointed in myself. Then I realize I haven't meditated this morning. I stop and meditate for thirty minutes, rebooting the feeling I was having. What great therapy!
Peace…
I often talk about how meditation has helped set my intentions and reminded me that life is hard and no one is perfect. You need to show up for yourself. Yes, it is tough to concentrate for 10 minutes on your breath or your focus point. It's funny to think that 10 minutes playing a video game fly by or 10 minutes on a coffee break is just seconds, but listening to your mind for 10 minutes and being honest with yourself is so scary for many. I get it. Self-awareness presents a whole new challenge, but nothing about meditation holds me back from my goals.

The things I see during meditation help me block out the societal noise that imposes unwanted norms and impossible controls. This noise turns us into mere pawns in the digital world due to the gambling nature of the internet and the instant gratification it demands.
The secret to success is to block out the noise and follow your passion. Having worked in marketing for over 20 years, I've found that successful people in business share their love and passion with the world.
