Every human being on this earth comes across at those points of life where they face issues, challenges, and adversities. Most of them usually get handicapped by their closed one’s advice like “Stay Strong, this is just a phase” or “Take your stand and be resilient.” But has anyone ever tried to think what does this mean and how one can easily get through the shallow path with this?
Whenever we are stuck in a difficult situation, our mind overlaps and seeks the way into two directions: either get yourself immersed in the emotions and become paralyzed by its deteriorating effect, or uplift yourself from the negativity and bounce back with much higher spirits.
This is where RESILIENT comes into the action. Building resilience is the key to overcome challenges and pave your way to success.
Challenges are an inevitable part of your life. But you need to understand that these challenges take place to make you strong, not to go down the tubes. Don’t dwell on your failures. Acknowledge them, learn from them, and then move ahead.
The current win of Indian Team against Australia in the Test Series was an exemplary depiction of resilience. The way Indian cricket team stunned Australia against all odds to take the series 2-1 was so remarkable, and left the people baffled. Especially after bowling out for their lowest test total of 36 in the first test at Adelaide. Their marvelous victory won the hearts of the hard-bitten Australian public & media.
Do you know that Australia hasn’t lost a Test match in the Brisbane field since 1988? Yes, you heard it right. Australia was in full confidence or rather complacency (remember "Can't wait to get you to the Gabba") to experience another series win in their home soil, but who knew that Indian Team resilience could serve them so much.
The major thing to underline is the Indian reservoir of talent triumph even took place without the presence of their best batsman & frontline bowlers. Despite their debilitating loss in the first game at Adelaide, India progressed. They overcame all the adversities with their resilience, courage, and skill to record a reminiscing match.
It wasn’t the effort of an individual, but the whole Indian team who were striving hard to achieve this triumph. The prominent event that took place in history is the “Bench Strength” of India in this test series. After repeated expulsion of Indian players due to injuries and other reasons, the bench strength of the Indian team with newcomers like of Siraj, Gill, Washington Sundar, Shardul, Natarajan & Saini were tested and the latest rookies took the opportunities with their magnificent performance. Building such a bench strength was a remarkable depiction of the team's strength and grit.
All this experience of the Indian Team against Australia dropped a clear message of performing any task with passion and panache is of utmost importance, no matter how any difficulties stand in front of your way.
All of us need to develop a resilience mindset to overcome from the setbacks. Development of such mindset is similar to climbing a mountain without a trail map. It will consume your time, strength, and efforts, but will eventually lead you to the top of the mountain.
In today hustling-bustling world, it is important to possess resilience as a critical skill to achieve success. If you’re looking for ways to develop resilience, read further to bolster yourself in the times of trouble.
The very first is to transmute your failure into success. Failure is merely a stepping that requires another effort to bounce back with great spirit. Once you decide to pursue it with determination, you have paved the way to success.
Another is to develop positive credence. A positive person faces the challenges by harnessing the power of positive thoughts and reactions. The day it is adopted, you are there to create such a plan that will bring fruitful results.
And the main way to embrace the changes. It is important to adapt yourself with the changes that are out of your comfort zone. You have to break yourself from the strength of stability and experience the new vision to achieve your goal.
Resilience is just an ability that keeps on improving with time. Next time when life throws you a curveball, keep your belief intact that you are strong enough and can face adversity being resilient. These adversities can bend you, but can’t break you.

4 年Great article, Guru. More than the win itself, it's the circumstances under which it was achieved that made it special. So it is with life. A win that we achieve after a series of struggles is sweeter.
